Sawdust Preview 1

Status

Sawdust Preview 1 is a viewer application which shows a workbench plan.

As its name implies, Preview 1 is just a preview.  Lots and lots of features are still missing.

Preview 1 is a demonstration.

Preview 1 is not useful.

Technical Details

Sawdust Preview 1 runs inside Internet Explorer as a "web browser application".  There is nothing to install.  You simply click the link and the application will run.

• If you are running Windows Vista, everything you need is already on your computer, so Sawdust should just work.
  
  
• If you are running Windows XP, you will need to install the .NET Framework 3.0 from Microsoft on your computer.

Sawdust needs a reasonably good video card to support its 3D graphics capabilities.  If the program seems terribly slow while rotating or zooming the 3D view, then your video card is not up to the challenge.

Sorry, the Sawdust viewer application currently cannot be downloaded and installed on your computer.  It must be run over the Web.

Sorry, the Sawdust viewer application currently does not support any browser except Internet Explorer.

Sorry, the Sawdust viewer application is not compatible with Macintosh or Linux.

The first time you run the preview, it will probably take 60 seconds or so to show up on your screen.  Once the view application is up and running, it should look like the screen shot at the top of this page.
